Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max 90 was the second iteration of the Air Max shoe, coming four years after the original design. The shoe is available in a range of colors in both men's and women's styles.
The 20 year old running shoe that none of us ever seem to get sick of is being delivered from Nike Sportswear in yet another dope new colorway for the Spring 2011 season. With baseball season finally upon us, New York Yankees fan are sure to love these Midnight Navy Blue and White colorway of the iconic Nike Air Max 90 SI silhouette.
These kicks are perfect for that matching Yankees fitted hat featuring an upper that is covered completely in navy blue combining both a leather and mesh construction with a reptile like textured mud guard that wraps around the shoes. White accents can also be found throughout along with an all white midsole to provide some contrast.
However, with the NIKEiD platform, you can create a personalized design of the iconic Air Max 90 shoe. The shoe is available in full grain leather, patent leather or mesh, and has a wide variety of colors to mix and match.
First of all, log on to the NIKEiD website and select the country that you're from; hover over "Men's" or "Women's" in the top navigation, depending on which style you want to design, and select "Nike Air Max." Click on "Nike Air Max 90 iD Shoe”.
Secondly, click on "Start Blank" to design your Air Max 90 from a white template shoe. Click on each section of the shoe, selecting a color and material for each part. Coordinate your colors for maximum contrast by using shades from opposite sides of the color wheel. For example, NIKEiD's "Ink" shades of deep purple contrasts well with the "Varsity Maize" shade of yellow.
Next, click on "What's Next?" to add your NIKEiD to the shoe. Type in the name of your shoe and select the color for your NIKEiD. Click on "Show Me" when you've decided on the name.
Lastly, select the shoe size, and click "Add to Cart" when you've finished. If you don't want to purchase the shoe, you can click "Share" to share the design and click "Save" if you need to come back to your design later. Proceed to the NIKEiD checkout to complete your purchase.
