Kobe Bryant is widely well-known outstanding basketball player in the NBA who is often being compared with the former legend of Michael Jordan. Thanks to Kobe’s popularity and influence, his business partner- Nike company who has a long-term contract on shoes with Kobe, is able to keep producing the more advanced and useful sneakers on the court and spreading them to all over the markets. And Eric, who is a creative director of footwear design of Nike company, has worked with Kobe for many years since Kobe’s contract with Nike; the awesome and creative Zoom Kobe VI was under his design.

Eric knows well about Kobe and his basketball skills, and he found out that many cutting from Kobe is in low height and the normal high-top shoes would do harm to his ankle. Therefore, several series of Kobe shoes with low profile have come into the public. And this year, another shock will surprise the public is the latest Zoom Kobe VII, which has been viewed from the sample.

It is the seventh signature Nike shoe for Kobe Bryant; and this version of Kobe shoes appears to predictably stick to the low ankle cut, but the ankle collar reaches higher than the previous two Kobe signature sneakers around the heel area. The upper features a composite one piece shell that ditches the reptile scales of the Zoom Kobe VI in favor of raised grooves creating something of the micro-stripe pattern.

And the outsole and heel cap also keep in line with other recent Kobe shoes with exaggerated outrigger and a hard plastic shell in back to ensure heel lockdown on such a low cut basketball shoe. It is easy to find out from the appearance that this sneaker has a higher midsole and the outsole traction patterns have also been tweaked.

From the release of the Kobe VII sample, it is for black/white colorway. However, it is believed by the public that there will surely be lots of colorways and which of them might be looking odd, just like the former series, ZK VI.
