The World Bodypainting Festival was held at a new location this year: the Austrian town of Pörtschach, located on Lake Wörthersee. The event, which ran June 27-July 3, 2011, drew 24,000 visitors; participants came from 42 nations. It was sponsored by Kryolan, Snazaroo, JaLaTex, Mehron, M.A.C. Pro and others

Festival highlights included workshops, networking events, a boat cruise, fashion shows and body-painting competitions with two themes: Haute Couture and Renaissance—Rebirth. The Through Colours exhibition showcased Einat Dan’s work and launched the book Body Art Fashion. New attractions this year also included Bodypaint City—which featured stage presentations, exhibitors and free classes—and the WBF Fashion Park, where visitors could buy designer clothing.
